I strongly believe that there is a space for everyone in citizen science, ecology, science in general, higher education, and this world, regardless of race, gender, sexual preference, religious background, country of origin, disability, neurodiversity, etc.

I believe that the best way for us to address issues of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusivity is to incorporate these values throughout our lives and our work. Thus, instead of listing relevant research, committee service, teaching, and engagement work that I have done on this page, I have tried to incorporate it throughout this website. It is my hope that you can find at least small elements of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusivity on each of the other pages.
