Center for Public Deliberation

I started working with the Center for Public Deliberation (CPD) as a Student Associate during the Spring 2021 semester. The CPD is located in the Department of Communication Studies at Colorado State University. Through this program, I receive training in facilitation, active listening, listening with empathy, and value identification. As a Student Associate, I help to facilitate conversations with the public regarding controversial topics so that local organizations can receive public input on the decisions they make.

Sustainability Leadership Fellowship

I was selected for the 2020-2021 cohort of Sustainability Leadership Fellows through the School of Global Environmental Sustainability at Colorado State University. Through this program, I have received training in science communication, collaborative science, and engaging in science policy. As part of our fellowship, we are put into "pods" of fellows to help us better get to know each other in an online environment. I collaborated with other members of my pod to write a policy memo on sustainable agricultural practices that was accepted for publication in the Journal of Science Policy and Governance
